The game is fantastic, but I do have an issue. After my first time playing the game, it wouldn't continue past the splash screen. After the Price for Freedom logo disappears, the white light in the background settles into an oval shape and stops moving. The game doesn't freeze, the mute and exit buttons in the top right still work.
I've tried several things to fix this, I've tried reinstalling a couple times, I've tried moving my save data in case if something corrupted, but nothing worked. The only hint I have is that the Player.log file under AppData/LocalLow/TeamDeadDeer/PriceForFreedom says:
SplashScreen not found: C:/Users/[user]/OneDrive/Desktop/[folder]/priceforfreedom-windows/PriceForFreedom_33_6_Windows/PriceForFreedom_Data/../AssetBundles/cinematics/loadingscreen_naga
Edit: Problem not solved yet, but I did some more digging in the meantime, and found that all of the loadingscreen_(name) files are all definitely under the AssetBundles/cinematics file. I also noticed that whenever I launch the game and check the new Player.log file, the missing loading screen changes. Probably just because it searches for a random one every time. But that still means that it is somehow missing all of them, despite the fact that they are where they need to be.
I'm not experienced with any unity things, so if I could get a dev's input on this, that would be great.
It's possible your antivirus (avast?) is preventing the game from loading properly. Make sure you downloaded the game from Itch.io, and then try to add exceptions for the game exe in your antivirus.
I don't use avast anitvirus, and Windows Defender doesn't seem to have an issue with the game. I'll try reinstalling from itch.io again.
Idk if it helps at all, but the past couple of times I've booted up the game, even after reinstalling, it didn't install the separate package of assets, or whatever. I remember when I booted up the game for the first time it had a progress bar at the bottom while it did something with it's assets, but that hasn't happened since then, even after moving all of the data under AppData.
The combat is too confusing for me that even the easy mode is not good enough for it since i can't clear the prologue without either using cheats that 1 hit kills the enemies or my party have infinite hp, so i can't see everything from the prologue and beyond.
Ok, i will do that if i need to, but i need to test if doing this auto gives the xp and stuffs that winning the battle manually would give or not, the other part of the game are great other than the combat, but hopefully new characters and stuffs will happen someday along the way when they are ready.

I don't like to unlock my full gallery before playing the game, but I want to be able to unlock the images and scenes I missed when I finnish the game. I'm a bit worried that by the time I finnish the game, there will be a new version, and I won't be able to use the code without being subscribed on patreon.
Ok, but my question actually was: If there exist a more recent build, the old version won't auto-update its cheat code, so as long as you don't download the newer version, you will be able to use the old cheat code, right?
Yes, you will always have access to the version you were a patreon for, even if you stop supporting the game, and your old code will always work for that version. Also you can download old builds in the archives, so you don't have to worry about loosing your older build.

Hi, the game has been a lot of fun but I noticed a small bug with starting the Loose Ends quest (at least in the free version). After the ending of The Crimson Dervish quest, talking to Scylla will trigger the prompt of taking her into the party, not the start of the quest. If you then go to the burnt building and get the quest item (as I did just for the sake of exploration), you will be softlocked because the person at the lighthouse won't talk to you. The way the quest starts is by taking her in the party, take her out, then talk to her again.
As far as I recalled, it went smoothly in terms of mechanics. though I don't remember any prompt explicitly recommending me to take Hiho as is the "proper" story experience (I've learned this through the walkthrough page after the fact when trying to figure out how to start the earlier mentioned quest) I just coincidentally took Hiho along on my first run out of pure curiosity on how these two apparently distinctly different characters would react to story beats.
I can see why you used external links for download but you as game dev on itch can ask to have more than the provided 1GB but probably for a fee the biggest game i've seen so far was around 10GB and i don't think its that expensive the game that i've seen doesn't seem it was developed by a big studio

For Osh'to, the Ogre, you can avoid paying the debt. Check the walkthrough here. Same for the crimson dervish quest, you can avoid paying this much.

The code only works for a specific version. For something more permanent you should wait the final release of the game, here or on Steam.

Yes it will always be an elf, because it's a character with a backstory, not a blank slate like in Elder Scrolls for example.
